Conceptual branding and packaging project on alcohol. Although most brands of this category emphasize the joy of drinking, the focus of this project was on the darker side of it, vice.
Inspired by New England Puritanism, stark minimalist visuals are used to accompany more insidious copywriting to communicate deliciously sinful indulgence with a bit of a creepy uneasiness.
The very name “Devil’s Due” and its design was picked for its meaning and in which I made a few custom letters with the serifs empty to emphasize sharpness, like that of a dagger or horns. The bitters design was made to resemble old medicinal drops while the pre-made cocktails were covered in matte white inline with the branding except for the bottom to show flavour variants.
